From Our Logbook

Different Work, Same Standard

A few of the engagements we’ve run — there’s more where these came from.

  • A therapy practice

A few hours a week grew into the full virtual office — intakes, scheduling, billing — kept running even through the owner’s maternity leave.

  • A coaching business

Website built and maintained, plus the blog: rough drafts in, polished, SEO-ready posts out.

  • A nonprofit animal rescue

A new site from the ground up — and a $0/month nonprofit Google Workspace to keep operating costs down.

  • A property-management firm

A full website rebuild, research and analysis, and custom leases and forms with built-in validation.

01 Ruled Folio

Editorial ledger, no cards: the head splits across a strong rule — heading left, lead right — then all four engagements run as one hairline-ruled row under big Playfair folio numerals.

no cards · split ruled head · Playfair folio numerals · 4-across hairline row · paper

02 Night Watch

The logbook knocked out on the deep-blue band: the live ledger geometry kept as-is, entries in white over translucent hairlines, with the eyebrow's orange dash as the section's single warm accent.

blue-deep band · white knockout · translucent hairlines · one orange dash · inverted ghost CTA

03 Waterline Plates

Accent edges from the directions gallery (Family B, 04–06): the live head stays put, and each entry becomes a flat white plate with a corner light-beam wash and the 3px waterline keel along its base — the edges do the branding, no shadows.

white plates · hairline border · beam wash · waterline keel · 2×2 grid · live head unchanged

04 Dead Reckoning

The heading at display scale, then the four engagements plotted as position fixes port and starboard of a dashed course line running down the chart grid — the one orange fix marks the destination, where the CTA waits. Wildcard — bends layout/motif conventions; brand palette and Playfair/Rubik only.

wildcard · display heading · dashed course spine · alternating fixes · orange destination fix
